The Year That Was..

As we bid farewell to 2008, and look onto 2009 with new expectations, lets look into the events that have gone by....
The financial crisis, that was born in America, dotted the headlines throughout the year, straight from January to December, and there is no end in sight as companies are busy clamouring for the bailouts.America is in ruins, and the world is in panic.
The port city of Mumbai was attacked by the "islamic folk", yea, in the name of Allah,of course, and that left many many Indians dead, and foreigners too. The outfalls of that pakistan sponsored terrorism are now coming to light, as there is a fresh breakdown in dialogue, trade, and travel between the two countries.War is on the cards, but both sides are very careful, not to spell it out. America, which is supposed to be busy sorting out its own problems, is back to its old duty,of playing Big Brother (no pun intended).
Things have become expensive, and hence the festivals, were all lackluster this year.

I'm not such a big sadist, but I cant stop thinking what I think.

Among the good things though, India won a few medals at the Beiging Games, and we marked our first visit on the moon. And the biggest achievement was the Nuclear Deal with Big Brother.

There is nothing much to write really, about the year that 2008 has been. This year should have ended long back instead of taking up the usual quota of 12 months.Sheesh! what a year its been...

Happy New Year to all, as we hope for better days to come.
